ABOUT US

Chef Sara Blattner is a culinary artist with over 18 years of experience in the kitchen. Born and raised in Pocatello Idaho. Sara developed a passion for cooking at a young age, surrounded by family recipes that blended her love of comfort food and family traditions with a push to be creative and use local, fresh ingredients. Her grandmother Sonya was a brilliant cook, opinionated, and a perfectionist.  Sara was able to stay with her grandmother while attending school where she cooked beside her and strived to learn all her grandmother’s “secrets” she would never tell anyone, and boy did Sara and her grandma throw some amazing dinner parties! This truly helped to sculpt Sara’s view on food… it doesn’t always be fancy to be amazing and memorable. However, her grandmother would eat crab legs every chance she got!

After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu she honed her skills in working in restaurants and being a private chef for various clients in Scottsdale Arizona.  She then went on to be the hospitality and menu director for the main restaurant and all catering/special events at the Army Base, Fort Irwin in California.

Sara’s cooking style is rooted in fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, and she is known for her innovative take on classic dishes. Her signature dishes, Steak & Linguini and Pot roast with Roasted Carrots, have garnered numerous accolades and continues to delight guests at both catering events and in her home with friends and family.

In addition to her culinary pursuits, Sara is passionate about teaching and spends a ton of time with her daughter Emma in the kitchen. She thrives on seeing Emma take off with her culinary imagination and it’s safe to say Emma is a chef in the making! Sara learned at a young age that the art of cooking brings personalities and creativity forward and truly builds relationships and memories forever.

When she’s not in the kitchen, Sara enjoys exploring local farmers' markets, experimenting with new recipes, and spending time with her family.
